SANKALP – A Forum of IETians : If we talk about sustaining life without the enriching fluid – water then the thought would be identical to “Cutting Air with Swords”; in other words, completely meaningless. This is the flash, showing the actual imprints of the assiduous and meticulous organization of SANKALP.
It is often said “People may doubt what you say but they will believe in what you do” these were the words which constantly struck the mind of Kunal Singh Dabey the student mind behind the birth of sankalp.
Headstarted on 15 th September with its serial quiz and quest 03 on the gleaming occasion of engineers day sankalp has its seeds sown by Dr. Sanjay Sharma HOD, Chemistry as its Professor –in-charge, the person to bring about the opening of Sankalp and Dr. V. K. Agarwal, Chairman, IET group of institutions as its Patron–in–Chief.
In the starting, society was run by a handful of students and now, it has more than 200 students as its members, on a voluntary basis. The primary and prime focus of this society is to merge modernization with tradition. Here, students resolve to celebrate occasions like Teachers Day, Engineers Day etc, in a very traditional but contemporary manner. Also, under the shadow of ‘SANKALP’, students find a platform to nature their talents, enrich their skills, organizing and leadership qualities.
Even if the efforts were looking handful but the shining rise in the working spirit & professional attitude ticketed, the members of SANKALP on the continued journey of erudition. The list of events continued by the number of quiz, debates and seminars that were brilliantly organized, coordinated and disciplined by the dynamic members of the Sankalp group.
The running stories of success should never get overhead”, this is the boulevard our clan SANKALP tries to drive through. After few successful ventures with some painstaking uphill struggle the organization tried to improve the echelon of its operation. In the following years college witnessed enlightening harmonious programs with Vadalli Brothers executing a cheerful & over whelming get together, under the Alwar Chapter of SPIC-MACAY. Purolli Dance Group from West Bengal for a spectacular performance in our college was also invited by the members of SANKALP.
SANKALP, once again found itself privileged by being associated with the above melodious demonstrations.
SANKALP – A platform to groom bemused individuals into matured professionals. It is an organization, which has outlined its image through the dark ages of mockery to well-patted back of appreciation.
On 5 th September, 2005 i.e. Teacher’s Day, events are organized for our career builders to confront them with chariots of their own ancillaries and : 15 th September marks the engineers day on the occasion of birthday of First Engineer of India, Dr. M. Visvesvaraya. An Annual Intra College Quiz Competition Quest is organized with a lot many technical activities for budding Engineers. The students with flowering minds from all branches and years participate with full involvement questionnaires, even Techno Fire, Jumble Fumble, Open your Senses and Rapid Fire are some of the events adding to the list of the day.
Worlds AIDS Day, 1 st December : A Red Ribbon Club is opened under the banner of ‘SANKALP’ and the collection under this club is donated to the charitable organizations working for the betterment of AIDS patients.
Later in the years, during Navratras, the organization camouflages to reveal its cultural concern and welcomes the occasion with the Dandia Night. Holy Puja initiates the event followed by foot thumping Garbha. All the respected guests, high-spirited crowd and of course, the ever charged up SANKALPIANS addup to the colours of the day like drunken souls till late nights.
As tranquility cannot be whipped from nature’s splendor, that working spirit too, cannot be swept off from the palette of SANKALP’S diversities. Its live example is the Wall Magazine, Potraiting thoughts and vital interaction with the mass. Sankalp shoulders the responsibility of maintaining the technical and the cultural wall magazines reminds all of the rich Indian Culture and their Heritage. Thus both go hand in hand in making all round updates. Students work hard to present the pithy information in the form, by putting up all their skills in a well organized manner. They search out he matter and then use their creativities and artistic skills to display the wall magazine. The cultural wall magazines celebrates all the occasions like Diwali, Gurupurab, Teachers Day, Independence Day etc.
The members of ‘SANKALP’ also provide voluntary help in many functions like Annual Function, the annual placements and other activities organized by the college.
